Possible World War II field grave in Gronsveld, The Netherlands

The request
In May 2016 Study Group Missing Soldier receives a message regarding a possible isolated field grave in Gronsveld (Limburg, The Netherlands). The individual requests for help with localizing possible human remains from a World War II soldier. This soldier was assumedly excavated while performing ground work in the past. After excavation it was decided to rebury the remains without informing any authorities. Why this decision was made remains unclear.
The exact location as well as the soldiers nationality are unknown. However, a possible location is given, which may help us somewhat.
Decision
The request seems genuine, and we believe the search for the field grave is worthwhile. Given the historical wartime presence, it’s certainly possible to find a field grave. We’re planning out first search day for the end of June 2016.
